How do you handle toddler tantrums in public?

A tale of toddler tantrums... today!

Ā

just got home from a mall. I witnessed a little boy, who's still non-verbal, trying to express something, through hand gestures to his dad. Out of frustration, because his parents couldn't understand him, he started crying. The dad then said, "Sige, bahala ka diyan!"

I felt so bad for the boy.

Does tough love still work? Some people in social media would say that gentle parenting is for the spoiled and weak.

Have you ever thought about homeschooling your child?

With the recent news especially the incidents happening in schools, it really makes you think about your child’s safety.

I’m not saying homeschooling is better.

I’m just curious if you had the chance, would you consider it?

One birth prep move you'd do again in a heartbeat

Due very soon with my first. For those who have been through it—looking back, how did you prepare for the actual birth (mentally, physically, or logistically) that you would 100% do the exact same way again?

And to balance it out: what is one way you prepared that you would NEVER do again or that ended up being completely useless when labor actually started?

How Is Your Preemie Doing Right Now?

I know that every preemie journey is unique. But would to hear from fellow parents. What is one victory that you’re celebrating with your preemie right now? And what is one challenge you’re currently navigating?

Our 34-weeker is now 2 years and 4 months old. One of our biggest victories is seeing him continue to meet his milestones. As preemie parents, we’re always diligent about developmental check-ins and watching for any possible delays.

Our biggest challenge right now (just like with his preemie kuya before him) is slow weight gain. His BMI is within the normal range accdg to his pedia, but I’m still looking for ways to encourage him to eat more and build healthy weight. 😅

Looking forward to hearing stories and tips too. ❤️

Is your child still taking afternoon naps? 😴

Attachment

I’m wondering when kids usually stop taking daytime naps.

Ā

How old was your child when they dropped their afternoon nap? Did it happen naturally, or did you decide it was time to transition away from naps?

Ā

What signs told you they were ready? Did it affect their bedtime, mood, or overall routine?

Ā

I’d love to hear your experiences and tips from fellow parents! 💛
