Dahil sa renewal for restriction, dapat nga ba magkaroon ng batas na pinagbabawal ang social media below 16?
I worked for TikTok for 4 years, and not surprisingly, it's those who've worked in social media who know why kids should not be on social media.
I don't think teenagers or kids should be on social media because:
1. Trust & Safety measures on soc med aren't enough. Feeds are still full of sexual and violent content that doesn't get flagged or taken down fast enough or at all.
2. Soc med can lead to insecurity, mental health issues, and cyber bullying.
3. Kids get exposed to evil people, hiding behind fake profiles and fake personas. Creeps can contact them through DMs and get them to share personal or even intimate info/ photos that can be used for black mail or exploitation.
I don't know how soc med may negatively impact a kid's social skills, but purely from a safety standpoint, I'd keep kids off social media.
