Yes it should be legal. I've been happily married for 17 years now. My mom is a women's rights lawyer who's been happily married for over 40 years. We both believe divorce should be legalized. Imagine this scenario, which seems extreme but is still very much real: You're a woman who's constantly physically abused by your husband, so you run away to save yourself. After some time, your husband starts a new family and takes out loans to buy his new family a house and a new life. Then he suddenly dies. Under the law, the burden to pay for his financial debts will fall on you, the legal wife, who was constantly physically abused, who had to runaway to save your own life. I support divorce, not for romanticized scenarios like "finding the spark again when things aren't working out"—I support divorce for those worst-case scenarios, where it can actually protect people from abuse, debt, and the inability to move past a life they'd rather forget. My two cents.
